How many tyres fit in one storage cage?
A medium car tyre cage typically holds 30 to 40 loose passenger tyres, or around 20 fitted to wheels. Truck stillages hold 8 to 16 casings depending on size, and tractor frames 2 to 8. We size the cage to the tyres you actually stock rather than a standard box.
How high can tyre stillages be stacked?
Loaded stillages stack three high as standard, with corner locators keeping each frame seated on the one below. That takes the same floor space and turns it into three levels of tyre storage without bolting racking to your slab.
Do they suit forklift and pallet jack handling?
Yes. Every frame has clear forklift entry on all four sides, and pallet-jack access on the standard footprints. Loaded units can be moved and stacked by one operator.
What happens when they are empty?
The frames fold flat. Empty cages collapse down to roughly a quarter of their standing height, so a season's worth of storage stacks against a wall or ships back on a pallet instead of taking a bay.
Are they suitable for outdoor tyre storage?
Yes. Choose hot-dip galvanised for yards and exposed loading areas, or RAL powder coat for indoor fitment bays and showroom-facing storage.
