Stillages & stillage cages

Foldable steel stillages, built to stack, store or ship

Stacked supplies cage stillages and pallet cages to tyre shops, wholesale distributors, manufacturers and bulk goods warehouses across Australia. Four ranges, three sizes each, loads from 500 kg to 4,000 kg. Stack three high loaded, fold flat when empty.

Why steel stillages

Storage that moves with your stock, not against it

Stacks three high

Turn the same floor space into three levels of storage. Corner locators keep loaded frames square with no install and nothing bolted to the slab.

Folds flat empty

Collapse to a quarter of standing height. Seasonal stock, return freight and quiet months stop eating your floor.

Rated and tested

500 kg to 4,000 kg, load tested and stamped before dispatch. Forklift entry on all four sides.

Coated for the job

Painted RAL powder coat indoors, heavy-duty coating for yards and docks. Both hold up to daily forklift handling.

Stillages vs wrapped pallets

Stop wrapping. Start stacking

Every wrapped pallet is a job someone has to do twice — wrap it on, cut it off, bin the film, and do it all again next move. A stillage does the same job once: load it, stack it, pick it, ship it. No film, no knife, no waste.

Faster putaway

Drop the load in, fork it into the stack. No stretching film, no taping, no waiting for a wrapping station. A loaded stillage is put away in the time it takes to wrap one pallet.

Faster picking

Open mesh sides and a drop front mean you pick straight from the cage — no cutting wrap first, no film bunched around the product, no re-wrapping the half-empty pallet after.

No cutting, no wrapping

Skip the wrapper, the knife and the labour that goes with them. One person with a forklift moves a full stillage in seconds; the same load on a wrapped pallet needs two people and a roll of film.

No plastic to landfill

Stretch wrap is single-use plastic — used once, cut off and binned, every move. A steel stillage is reused for years and recycled at end of life. Less film in your bins, less plastic in landfill, less waste to account for.

Stillage questions we get asked

Our team has set up warehouses, tyre shops and factory floors. Tell us what you store and how you move it, and we size the stillage around it.

What is the difference between a stillage and a pallet cage?

A stillage is any steel frame that holds a load square, off the ground and ready for a forklift. A pallet cage is a stillage with mesh sides and a pallet footprint. Both terms are used interchangeably in Australian warehouses, and every Stacked frame does both jobs: it stacks loaded and folds flat empty.

How high do stillages stack?

Loaded stillages stack three high as standard. Corner locators seat each frame on the one below so the stack stays square without bolting anything to your slab.

How much weight can a stillage carry?

From 500 kg on the small pallet cage to 4,000 kg on the large agricultural frame. Every unit is load tested before dispatch and stamped with its rating.

Do stillages fold flat when empty?

Yes. Empty frames collapse to roughly a quarter of their standing height, so idle stock stacks against a wall or ships back on a pallet instead of occupying a bay.

What finishes are available?

Standard RAL powder coat paint for indoor use, or a heavy-duty coating for yards, loading docks and outdoor storage.

Do you supply stillages Australia wide?

Yes. Because empty stillages fold flat, freight on bulk orders is far cheaper than fixed racking. Send your quantities and postcode and we quote within one working day.
