Full rolls of carpet are heavy, long and awkward to handle — and they're usually stored in protective bags, which makes loose stacking worse. A four-post stillage packs three rolls across between corner posts, bags and all, so one frame carries a full row of stock — more rolls per stillage, more per lift, clean and countable.
Underfelt & underlay
Soft underfelt rolls deform under their own weight when piled loose. In a four-post frame the posts take the load, not the roll below, so bulky, soft stock goes out the door in the condition it came in.
Vinyl, fabric & sheet rolls
Vinyl flooring, fabrics, geomembrane and shade cloth — any bulky rolled sheet rides the same frame. Sorted by range or customer, forkable off the floor as one unit.
Carpet glues & consumables
Adhesive tubs, tins, spray cans, join tape, gripper and trims are small but heavy and they pile up fast. A mesh stillage cage holds the lot — sealed, counted and forked to the job, not stacked loose on a shelf or the floor.
Cut & pick
Stage the rolls and consumables for the day's cuts in stillages beside the cutting table. Off-cuts and part rolls go back in the same frame, not onto the floor.
Tie down & transport
Fork pockets, lifting lugs and a square frame make bulky rolls easy to tie down and transport — carpet, underfelt and consumables ship to store or site as one secure unit, two high in a truck.

Why a four-post stillage for carpet rolls?
Rolls stored loose lean, telescope and crush. In a four-post frame, each roll rides horizontal between steel corner posts and the frame takes the stacking load — not the roll underneath. The pile stays clean, the ends stay square, and the whole bundle forks off in one lift.
Will the stillages fit full-length carpet rolls?
Yes. The long roll stillage spans 2,000 mm to take full-width carpet and vinyl rolls. Tell us your longest stock and we size the frame so the roll rides supported, not sagging between the posts.
Can underfelt and soft rolls go in the same frame?
Yes — and they should. Soft underfelt and underlay rolls deform when loose stock is piled on top of them. In the four-post frame the load rides on steel, so soft rolls come out round and saleable.
Can the cages hold carpet glues and consumables too?
Yes. Adhesive tubs, tins, spray cans, join tape, gripper and trims are small but heavy and they pile up fast. A mesh stillage cage holds the lot — sealed, counted and forked to the job, not stacked loose on a shelf or the floor. A separate consumables cage keeps wet goods away from the rolls entirely.
How high can they stack?
Loaded stillages interlock and stack, so the same floor footprint holds multiple columns of rolls with no fixed racking to install or bolt down — ideal when stock levels swing with the season.
What happens to empties?
Empties fold flat in seconds, so a truck brings back roughly four times the stillages it delivered and your store is not full of empty frames.
What finish do they come in?
Painted in a hard-wearing RAL powder coat as standard, with a heavier-duty coating available for exposed yards and humid stores.
Can they be colour-coded by product range?
Yes. Colour, plates and numbering can be set for volume runs so stillages track to a range — carpet, underfelt, vinyl — or to a branch or hire fleet.
